If you read the Bible at face value and not with the Spirit of God then there are some unusual things said. There is a man who lived to be 969 years old (Genesis5:27). Another man had an argument with a donkey (Numbers 22:28-29). The sun and the moon stood still for an entire day (Joshua 10:13). There was an army with seven hundred left handed men (Judges 20:16). The list goes on and on.
The longest name in the
Bible is Maher - Shalal - Hash - Baz. (Aren't you glad Isaiah wasn't your
dad?) It means "quick to plunder, swift to spoil" (see Isaiah
8:1).
The shortest prayer in
the Bible is Peter's : "Lord save me!"
(Matthew 14:30).
God's name is not
mentioned in the book of Esther.

In 1631 an English Bible
printer forgot the NOT in one of the Ten Commandments. Here's how his mistake
in Exodus 20:14 read: "Thou shalt commit adultry." Because of
this colossal goof, the edition became known as The Wicked Bible, and the
printer had to pay a large fine.
An edition of the Bible
printed at Cambridge , England in 1653 contained the following printer's error:
"know ye not that the unrighteous shall inherit the kingdom of
God?" (1 Corinthians 6:9).
While some prophets were
